Barry Carter is a chartered civil engineer with over 40 years’ experience in both public and private sector roles. Prior to joining Morphum Environmental in 2014, he was responsible for leading the stormwater planning team in the Northern Area of Auckland Council. He has considerable experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in the delivery of practical solutions to infrastructure and environmental issues, particularly in the area of stormwater catchment planning.
Barry played a key role in the development of a programme to identify and mitigate the effects of overland flow on Auckland's North Shore and more recently at Auckland Council. He has a keen interest in ensuring that planning, construction and operational needs are addressed in projects, and that added value opportunities are identified and integrated to provide sustainable solutions.
His current role of service delivery manager enables his skills and experience to be utilised in a wide range of environmental and engineering studies and projects. He has played a crucial role in the development of our quality management system, guiding us to achieve ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems certification in 2016.
