NZAEE Seaweek is coming up again, with events running from Saturday 25 February to Sunday 5 March 2017. The theme this year is Toiora te Moana – Toiora te Tangata – Healthy Seas, Healthy People

NZAEE Seaweek aims to connect people with their local oceans and coastlines. This includes a huge range of activities around water sports, festivals, markets, movies, tours, clean-ups and conservation events – all related to the sea. You can see what’s on in your area here.

Morphum Environmental’s very own Cat Davis and Rhian Ingley are volunteering at Sustainable Coastlines’ Love Your Coast Manukau Harbour Clean-up as part of the week’s activities. Rhian and Cat will be manning an Our Seas Our Future stall, helping with the beach clean-up and running Marine Meter Squared (Mm2) surveys to get people involved in citizen science.

To take part, register your interest in the Love Your Coast Manukau Harbour Clean-up online or just show up on the day. This event is perfect for people of all ages and fitness types.
