What is the role?

Morphum Environmental is looking for a talented design engineer to join our Engineering Design Team. This team leads multi-disciplinary projects in three-waters and open space engineering. The role will include opportunities to manage interesting projects, undertake design tasks, and client delivery. You will be involved throughout the life of projects from conceptual thinking right through to detailed design work and construction supervision.

About you

The successful candidate will be someone who understands the purpose of an engineering project, who is outcome-focused, who asks questions, works hard, collaborates and gets satisfaction from delivering great results.  If this sounds like you, read on. 

You will also have proven experience in the following areas:

  • Excellent report writing and communication skills

  • Practical thinking

  • Competent in core water engineering technical skills (flow calculations, topographic interpretation)

  • Ability to recognise risk

  • Project management skills

You will be able to confidently envisage project outcomes and demonstrate this in your work delivery. Projects you may be involved in include stream erosion assessment and enhancement design, reticulated network assessment design, pump station design, water sensitive infrastructure design and open space design. Working knowledge of Auckland Council GD01, GD04, Code of Practice (Section 4), and Watercare Code of Practice is critical for this role.

We are seeking an intermediate-senior level engineer with proven experience in the field of environmental engineering or consulting along with a relevant tertiary qualification to join our exciting and growing team.
