What is the role?
We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our growing Design Team, leading multi-disciplinary projects in three waters and open space engineering. In this newly created role, you will provide infrastructure strategy and analysis across civil and three waters infrastructure network, systems, regional and national strategic advice, with strengths in systems thinking and future scenario analysis.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
Supporting the development of high quality strategic overview documents guiding infrastructure planning
Developing future scenarios, planning frameworks and concept plans to achieve high level strategic objectives
Undertaking research and design tasks including innovation, integrated water management, water sensitive design and development of sustainable infrastructure
Visualising and communicating complex systems, their interdependencies and strategies to improve them
Preparing excellent reports communicating complex issues
To be the successful candidate you will have the following skills and experience:
5+ years professional experience with an appropriate qualification (Engineering, science, geography, economics)
Knowledge of three waters infrastructure research, planning and/or design, scoping and investigation
Understanding of catchment management or water system management
Proven experience in risk, sustainability and resilience concepts
Understanding and experience in development and/or implementation of strategies relating to infrastructure
You will be a great communicator and have a high level of computer literacy. Knowledge of GIS software (ArcGIS), graphics skills, and workshop creation and facilitation would be a definite advantage, as would New Zealand experience.
