Morphum Environmental is proud to continue its support of Water New Zealand’s Stormwater Conference, this year sponsoring the conference app and supporting the initiative to make the event environmentally friendly and 90% paperless.

Picturesque Queenstown played host to the 2018 industry conference, and the theme this year was “Wai Ora – Rising to the challenge”. There was a strong focus on Water Sensitive Design (WSD), and the need to design stormwater infrastructure with maintenance in mind. Incorporating maintenance, and the requirement for maintenance contracts into the design process will ensure green infrastructure is preserved and outcomes are sustainable.

Caleb Clarke, Environmental Engineer and Director at Morphum Environmental presented two papers at the conference - Evolving Water Quality Management in the Rotorkauri Catchment, Hamilton and Development of a Freshwater Management Tool to Support Integrated Watershed Planning for Auckland Waterways. Both papers were well received, in testament to Caleb's expertise in stormwater management, including green infrastructure design and water quality.

Morphum Environmental is proud to contribute to an industry that has such potential to raise the mauri of Aotearoa. The stunning location surrounded by lakes, rivers and mountains refreshed and invigorated our shared passion and commitment to Wai Ora.
