Sam is an environmental professional with over 10 years' experience in contaminated land and environmental management, and joined Morphum in January 2024 as a Senior Environmental Scientist.  His experience both as a consultant and as a technical specialist to local councils provides a unique perspective, which allows robust and pragmatic solutions. 

Sam’s work has included the oversight and management of contaminated land aspects for large and complex developments, and he has been responsible for the preparation and submission of site-specific environmental management plans, spill response plans and stormwater monitoring programmes for various industrial sites. 

Sam has an extensive background in site investigation and site management, with a comprehensive knowledge of regulatory processes and environmental guidelines, and is considered a Suitably Qualified and Experienced Practitioner (SQEP).  He is also passionate about sustainability and freshwater management in New Zealand. 

Outside work, Sam enjoys time with his family, outdoor activities, and exploring New Zealand.
