Kaipara Harbour from Atiu Regional Park, Auckland

Kaipara Harbour from Atiu Regional Park, Auckland

Atiu Creek Farm was gifted to the Auckland Regional Council by Jackie and Pierre Chatelanat in 2006. It provides public access to the Kaipara Harbour in the most North-Western part of the Auckland Region. Now called Atiu Regional Park, the site continues to be operated as a farm, along with recent developments that enable the park to be used recreationally. Part of the change in use has meant an existing substantial house has been adapted to accomodate large recreational groups and small conferences.

Morphum Environmental designed and supervised the construction of the on-site wastewater system to service the fluctuating use at this venue which can accommodate up to 80 day-visitors plus 20 people accommodated overnight. Courtyard House is experiencing a huge increase in popularity with its expanded capacity.
