Morphum Environmental has once again achieved carboNZero certification through Enviro-Mark Solutions. Our commitment to reducing emissions produced by our company’s presence is an ongoing ambition, and is driven hard by each and every member of our team.
The reduction of electricity and water use, fuel consumption and waste produced are an integral part of our environmental management system, and represent our willingness to strive for continuous improvement.
In the reporting period from 1st April 2014 to 31st March 2015, Morphum Environmental produced 48.41 tCO2-e (tonnes carbon dioxide equivalent) – a significant amount more than the previous year’s 37.76 tCO2-e; however, given our growth in this period we have in fact reduced our emissions per FTE from 1.87 tCO2-e per FTE in the 2013 to 2014 period to 1.52 tCO2-e per FTE in the 2014 to 2015 period. To put our 48.41 tCO2-e into perspective, this is the same as 55 return flights between Auckland and Melbourne.
