Dave holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Development and brings two decades of applied research and consulting experience to our company.

His passion for sustainability planning has informed policy, strategic land use and development decision making in small districts and large cities, as well as informing master plans for regional infrastructure.

Dave has considerable expertise leading environmental impact assessments for large scale infrastructure, agriculture, mining, and water sector projects. He’s also worked to improve environmental and natural resource governance – and ultimately, outcomes – in areas such as water resource management, biodiversity offsets and conservation banking.

Having been involved in internationally funded research projects and undertaken work for the Water Research Commission, Dave is a regular presenter at national and international conferences, and often serves on discussion panels, think tanks and research committees.

A deep love of the ocean means he is happiest when surfing, diving or paddling his fishing ski. He is also an avid beekeeper and keeps fit practicing yoga and chasing a squash or hockey ball around.
