Hong Yao has provided key ecological support to a variety of ecology projects in the Auckland and Waikato regions, including for infrastructure works and private developments. He is experienced in assessing ecosystem types, fauna habitats, wetlands, preparing associated reports and implementing fauna management. Driven by his commitment to help conserve biodiversity, Hong Yao strives to apply his expertise to deliver ecologically sustainable projects at Morphum.
Prior to moving to New Zealand, Hong Yao acquired his bachelor’s degree in environmental science and began his environmental consulting career in Singapore. He is a keen naturalist who can often be found out in nature appreciating wildlife and volunteering on fauna surveys.
