Morphum Environmental opens Nelson office

This month, we are excited to announce the opening of our Nelson office at the top of the South Island. Our newest team member, Principal Water Resources Strategist Jan Heijs, is leading this move. Jan brings a wealth of knowledge to support our expansion, having had diverse professional experience in both the public and private sectors. He has led large scale strategic wastewater and stormwater projects for North Shore City Council, Auckland Council and as a sole consultant. Jan has been instrumental in some of water sensitive design and stream restoration initiatives. He is enthusiastic to support decision making and help make a difference to communities across the South Island.

Following our successful move south – with the establishment of our Wellington branch in early 2014 – we continue to see fantastic potential to further our offering and deliver projects to the South Island which draw on Morphum Environmental’s diverse skill set. As communities across the country start to respond to the increasing pressures of urbanisation, land use modification and climate change on the environment, there is a real need to ensure that the planning, design and construction of man-made and natural infrastructure is both strategic and resilient to future challenges as well as pragmatic.

We look forward to fostering strong relationships with our growing client base across the South Island and supporting enhanced outcomes for the environment, communities and stakeholders. Watch this space for further updates on projects to come.

Morphum Environmental’s new Nelson Office is located at 3 Wensley Road, Richmond. For more information regarding the services we offer in the South Island, contact our Southern Sector office today:
